Frequency analysis

  • This lesson shows how contacts can be used when analyzing the natural vibration of assembly structures.
  • Analyze the mode shapes, which correspond to resonant frequencies, in an assembly.
  • Test two distinct contact cases to analyze their structure stiffness
    • Case 1: All components are bonded to each other (as if perfectly welded together)
    • Case 2: Components are bonded & free (some components have pin connectors while others are freely connected; the rest is bonded)
